Mugello GP: Post-race Quotes – 250cc

Álvaro Bautista (DNF):
“I’ve been having some really bad luck in the last few races. On every lap here I entered the turn in the same way, but that last time my front tyre lost grip and I crashed. The combination of tyres and setting were adequate, and we were doing well until the crash, so we just have to forget about it and move on. I’m going to turn the page and continue working towards Barcelona, because I’ll be going for the win there. I would like to have a big say in matters at Montmelo, and leave this bad streak behind.”

Héctor Faubel (DNF):
“Today I could have done two things: Save myself and finish eighth, or go all-out for the frontrunners. I saw Pasini in front and caught onto him, even passing him, but I crashed when trying for the group with Luthi, Pesek and Debon, the podium guys. It was a real shame because I looked strong today, and was very comfortable on the bike. In Scarperia I went straight and the front end gave out. It hurts to have crashed and not really know why. I want and intend to be in the lead group in Barcelona; today has motivated me greatly.”
