“I had a lot of fun in the two sessions today, which hasn’t happened for a long time. I had a great time running with Gábor and Sergio at the start of qualifying and that’s given me a real confidence boost. The team is happy with me and with the performance of my Aprilia. Hopefully I can come out strong tomorrow and work towards a good result, some points, in my home Grand Prix. There are a couple of corners where the gears are long and we’re not getting enough revs but we’re going to change that now so that the bike runs perfectly. At Mugello we put last year’s chassis in and I like the result a lot.”
