“We have used the variation in conditions this weekend to find a good setting for either wet or dry in tomorrow’s race. The weather forecast is not clear so we’ll have to wait and see what happens. The target for today was to find a good feeling in the wet without taking any risks because this is a treacherous circuit and the bike can go from under you at any moment. Basically I focused on clocking up the laps and getting a good feel for the Aprilia in these conditions. Tomorrow we’ll just go out to try and enjoy it, give my best and decide on a strategy based on how I feel when the race starts. If a top result is possible then of course I’ll be fighting for it.”

17th Héctor Faubel, 1.33.954 (21 laps)
“We couldn’t do much today because of the rain. Yesterday we had a lot of problems setting the bike up and we were hoping to improve things today but the wet conditions are completely different. The important thing will be to have a dry warm-up so that we can work on the things we have left to fix, because the forecast for the race is dry. If it’s wet the target will be to try and stay on for as long as possible because there are always a lot of crashes here, as we saw today. If it’s dry then I have Debón, Pasini and Kallio just in front of me and I’ll try to follow them.”
