Official: Japanese Grand Prix postponed to October 2nd

The FIM officially announced today that “due to the disasters that have hit Japan in the last few days and a consequent request from the organiser, the Japanese Grand Prix, at the circuit of Twin Ring Motegi (120 km north of Tokyo), originally scheduled on April 24, has been postponed to 2 October 2011.”

The new calendar looks as follows:

June 12th Great Britain (Silverstone)

July 24th United States*** (Laguna Seca)
August 14th Czech Republic (Brno)
August 28th Indianapolis (Indianapolis)
September 4th San Marino & Riviera di Rimini (Misano)
September 18th Aragón (MotorLand)
October 2nd Japan (Motegi)
October 16th Australia (Phillip Island)
October 23rd Malaysia (Sepang)
