Things are starting to work in favour of the Desguaces La Torre – SAG Team as Ángel Rodríguez will start the Catalunya Grand Prix from the seventh row of the grid.

The Bimota rider has managed to overcome the top speed issues he had on Friday which had made it one of the least productive days in regards to the setup of the bike. With that one day of work lost, Rodri was still able to ride 1.6 seconds behind the lead group and qualified for 21st position on the grid from which he aims to do a good start and collect his first points of the season.

21.ÁNGEL RODRÍGUEZ (DESGUACES LA TORRE SAG TEAM // BIMOTA), 1’47.841:
“The day we lost yesterday has hampered our setup of the bike and today we could do a good laptime which was 1.6 seconds behind the front. And the group of riders within the 1’47s is going up to eighth position which means that with a good start and keeping up that pace we can take the first points of the season.”
