HJC, biggest helmet manufacturer since 1992, announced the incorporation of world champion Jorge Lorenzo into their line-up of sponsored riders.

HJC and Jorge Lorenzo have come to an agreement that the rider from Palma de Mallorca will use the helmet brand during the 2013 season in the MotoGP class. “We are proud to have signed Jorge Lorenzo for 2013 together with the other riders in various categories”, said George Hong, president of HJC America.

Lorenzo will wear the model R-PHA 10 PLUS, the newest and most advanced helmet HJC has to offer, and will get a first-hand look at the production process when he visits the headquarters of the Korean company in the coming weeks.

The Spaniard is not the only new sponsored rider for the brand, HJC is also happy to announce the arrival of Moto2 rider Julián Simón who will strengthen the line-up with the known faces of Ben Spies and Ricky Cardús.

Since 1971 HJC exclusively produces motorcycle helmets. The manufacturer currently has four production sites – in South and North Korea, China and Vietnam – which together produce around one million helmets a year and make HJC the biggest producer of motorcycle helmets worldwide.
