Isaac Vinales made his mark at the French Grand Prix with a good performance in qualifying which saw him end the day in 8th position to secure a start from the middle of the third row tomorrow.

The young Spaniard is not yet completely satisfied with the setup of his Honda machine and struggled with a minor engine glitch during qualifying, but is still confident for tomorrow’s race which is forecasted to be wet.

“The bike is good, though the engine wasn’t pushing as hard in qualifying as it was in this morning’s session. We’ve made a few small adjustments to the chassis set-up, which have helped, so I’m quite confident for the race because my rhythm is pretty good.”
