After one month of summer break, the Moto3 World Championship returns for its 9th round which takes place at the mystical North American circuit of Indianapolis.

But not the entire time was spent on holidays. Team Calvo’s Maverick Viñales spent two days testing his KTM in Albacete to make sure he begins the second half of the season, in which it’s crucial for the title fight to get more wins than his opponents, in the best possible shape.

His team mate Ana Carrasco has been working hard at the gym in these past weeks to prepare herself well for her debut in Indianapolis. The rider from Cehegín gets closer to the points every time and keeps improving in every GP.

I like Indianapolis a lot and I arrive prepared and with the aim to do well. Last year the race didn’t go like we had hoped for and we didn’t have any luck, but in 2011 I finished the race on the podium. During the break I completely recharged my batteries and I’m ready to tackle the finish straight of the championship giving 100%. Working hard and supported by my team we have to give the maximum we’ve got and uphold the attack, because the title race is so tight and my rivals are so close.

Ana Carrasco #22 / @AnaCarrasco_22
The break seemed very long. I’ve been training very hard these past weeks and I’m full of energy and rearing to get going and see what Indianapolis is like. I’ve been told it doesn’t have much grip and that there are different types of asphalt. In the past we’ve seen many crashes and it’ll be difficult, much more than I could ever see from the Playstation. The objective for Indy hasn’t really changed from the first races, it’s to keep improving and ride quicker each time and to keep learning.

Pablo Nieto (Team Director) / @pablonieto22
The second half of the championship is about to start and we have 3 very important races coming up that will be crucial in the fight for the title. We just cannot allow ourselves to make mistakes. Maverick has been very consistent and has not been off the podium all year, but it’s now time to start winning races. It won’t be easy, but both Mack and the team will give everything. Ana continues her learning curve and I’m sure the result will follow soon.
