_E089944_1_600xAfter taking a day off yesterday Alvaro Bautista was back on track at Valencia today for an intense day of testing that saw him evaluate new Showa front suspension and Nissin brakes package.

Alvaro Bautista (5th 1’31.208 – 72 laps) “It has been a positive day and we have been able to try a lot of new parts with some good results. We tried a new front fork that Showa brought here and gathered a lot of information that should be useful in the next test. Nissin have also brought a new brakes package that worked well, so it has been a good day and now I am looking forward tomorrow, when I will get the chance to ride the 2014 bike.”

Fausto Gresini “We did a lot of work today evaluating some different technical solutions and a new fork that Showa brought here, with the idea of building and being competitive for the start of next season.”
