The MotoGP World Championship picks up the pace after its return from the summer break, with the second Grand Prix in as many weekends. Following on from the Indianapolis GP, the eleventh race of the season will be held this weekend in the Czech Republic.

The Repsol Moto3 riders will be chasing a podium return this weekend, something they fought for at Indianapolis last time out. Alex Marquez lies third overall and Alex Rins fifth. The pair look to cut the gap to the series leader, at a track where Rins took pole last season with a lap that still stands as a fastest lap record.

Alex Rins
“The Czech Republic circuit is quite peculiar and last year I found it a little difficult. Every time we take the Honda to a circuit we know, everything is new to us again because we have no previous references, so we have to find the optimal setup and do so quickly. We need to do so much faster than at Indianapolis in order to be up at the front.”

Alex Marquez
“I think it is good to ride again a week after the Indianapolis Grand Prix, where I had a race that left a bad taste in my mouth. This weekend in Brno I will try to make amends. Last year I remember we did a great job all weekend and it was a circuit that suited me very well. I think this year we can also go well, because it is a good track for Honda. However we must be vigilant from the start in order to be as strong as possible. We need to try to recover ground on the two riders ahead of us. The Brno circuit is the most difficult in the World Championship, with many chicanes and a complicated setup to find, so we have to work from the first session harder than ever.”
