Isaac Viñales tenth in tightly fought Brno race
Up to 17 riders have been battling for victory in today’s Moto3 race of the Czech GP, two of those riders being Team Calvo’s own Isaac Viñales and Jakub Kornfeil.
Viñales started the race from the second place on the grid, but his speed during the practice sessions wasn’t of much use in a race where no one could make a get away. Isaac crossed the finish line in tenth place with just a one second gap to the winner Alexis Masbou.

“Like expected this was a race of one group, but we didn’t think it would be such a large group. We had a bit of a problem because I couldn’t battle with the other riders like I would have wanted to because I didn’t have the pace. I was with them, they overtook me, I pulled back a bit but I couldn’t make it stick. I already said yesterday that I didn’t feel entirely comfortable with the setup and today I definitely noticed it. But that’s racing and we have to look ahead now. The most positive is that we finished in the top ten and those ahead of us in the championship didn’t finish on the podium today.”
