The competitive nature of the Moto3 class this season has given 5 different winners, including Alex Marquez.

The Spaniard cut the gap to World Championship leader Jack Miller by two points at Brno, and the difference between the two now stands at 23 points. Marquez was on the podium at Silverstone last year, with teammate Alex Rins second on that occasion.

Two weeks ago, Rins regained a good feeling onboard his Honda and was able to fight for victory in the Czech Republic.

Alex Rins
“This week off between races has been good for us to get stronger for Silverstone. We have to keep in mind this is a very fast circuit, but one where it rains often. It has a couple of slow corners but, overall, it is faster than it is slow and I think that helps us. We have to go there with the mentality of giving our all, right from the first practice session. I am really motivated for this Grand Prix.”

Alex Marquez
“Silverstone circuit suited us very well last year. There are many twisty corners and flowing chicanes, but I think it could be a good track for us. But there was a point where we were losing a little time and we have to try to give our best in every session as we did at Brno. We need to fight more on the final laps. In this sense there are things to improve, both with the bike and myself. We come here off the back of a race in which we took points from the leader, and we must continue like this, working in the same way.”
