Team GO&FUN Honda Gresini riders will start tomorrow’s British Grand Prix at Silverstone from the fourth row of the grid: Alvaro Bautista will line up his bike in twelfth place, with a time of 2’03”618.

Alvaro took the second fastest time in Qualifying 1 with 2’02”699 and after that, again slowed down by rear grip issues, he failed to improve his performance in the following Q2.

ALVARO BAUTISTA (12th – 2’03″618)
“Our problems are always the same: we struggle with lack of rear grip and when the track conditions are coming better, the other riders improves their lap times a lot, and we are not able to do so, like it happened in all the last few races. During Free Practice 4 we tried something to improve the rear grip and we found something good, but at the same time we lost some in corner entry. In Qualifying 1 I set a lap time which allowed me to get into the Q2, then we decided to put a hard front tyre, but it didn’t work well with low temperatures, therefore I was not able to improve my lap time in Q2. Speaking about the race, I can be consistent, but not as fast as I would like, so tomorrow we just need to make a good start and keep our rhythm to try to finish the race in the best possible position”.
