2014 CEV Repsol season continues at the Navarra Circuit
For the third consecutive year, after the summer break the four categories of the FIM CEV Repsol return to a Navarra Circuit in excellent condition after its recent resurfacing. With perfect summer weather forecast, the racing is sure to be superb.
The unstoppable Fabio Quartararo (FRA-Honda) leads the Moto3™ category, followed by Jorge Navarro (SPA-Ioda) – two outstanding young riders who have seen their talent, hard work and sacrifice pay off. The French rider’s future seems assured if he wins the championship, now that the regulations allow the winner of the FIM CEV Repsol Moto3 to participate in the Moto3 World Championship even if he is younger than 16.
Navarro, on the other hand, has found a place in the World Championship as part of the Marc VDS Racing Team. It is outstanding the rider’s excellent performance in the Red Bull Indianapolis Grand Prix, where he took sixth place on the starting grid and finished among the points.
Also Hiroki Ono – in third place in the FIM CEV Repsol points table – has gained a place as wild card rider for the Gran Premio Movistar de Aragón, riding a Honda for Honda Team Asia. Andrea Migno (ITA-Kalex) – fourth in the overall standings – will be riding for Mahindra Racing for the remainder of the GP season.
Jesko Raffin (SWI-Kalex) starts the sixth round of Moto2™ at the head of the standings. With 100 points to his credit and four first places out of five, the Pons Racing rider has made it clear that 2014 is going to be his season. Just 14 points adrift comes German rider Florian Alt (GER-Kalex), whose consistency and commitment make him a serious contender for the title. Sebastián Porto (ARG-Kalex) is in third place in Moto2 with 69 points, with Edgar Pons (SPA-Kalex) on 55 points. In Superstock 600, Ferran Casas’ unstoppable series of wins leave him with a well-deserved lead.
In the biggest category – Superbike – things are very close: Iván Silva, strongly motivated after his first win this season in Albacete, occupies the top slot. With three victories in the first six races and just nine points behind the leader, Noyes, will be trying his best to get back onto the podium. Behind him Robertino Pietri (VEN-Kawasaki) and Santiago Barragán (SPA-Kawasaki) – just 2 and 3 points respectively behind the American rider – will be challenging hard. As for the privateer riders, Raúl García (SPA-Kawasaki), seems unbeatable, leading with 95 points.
The Kawasaki Z Cup resumes activity at the Navarra Circuit, after its last appearance at the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya. Between them Joan Sardanyons and Francisco Javier Valera have taken the wins in the three races held so far, leaving them in first and second place in the overall standings.

For the first time at this circuit, entry to the circuit and paddock will be free on Saturday and Sunday. In addition, FIM CEV Repsol fans who go to the Passes Centre on Sunday may collect a pass to take part in the Pit Lane Walk which takes place before the start of racing.
At home the races can be seen live on the Movistar MotoGP channel of Movistar TV and the Energy channel of Mediaset Spain. French fans can follow the Moto3 race live on Eurosport, while in Italy Sky will broadcast the Moto3 race live. In other countries, all races will be broadcast on the CEV Repsol Youtube championship channel.
