Isaac Viñales ready to race in Aragon
Even though both Isaac Viñales and Jakub Kornfeil were up front during the last practice session in the morning, they lacked a bit of luck during qualifying and couldn’t position themselves as high up as hoped.
In Motorland Aragon, the long back straight counts a lot, and a good slipstream can mean more than half a second difference. But both riders and everyone in the Calvo Team are calm and confident for tomorrow’s race.
The pace of Isaac is particularly good, and with a good start he certainly has the pace to be in the leading group.

“It’s not gone bad if we think that the best we have for tomorrow is the race pace. I think with a good start we have the speed to stay with the top group and we can battle for a good result. A podium would be great, but it would just be nice to finish in the top five. Starting from the third row, the first lap will be key. Reaching the back straight with a small slipstream would be good and then try to pull away a little and break up the group because the Hondas have very good pace.”
