A constructive Saturday for the Leopard Racing team at the Dutch GP, the eighth round of the 2016 World Championship at the TT Circuit in Assen. Miguel Oliveira and teammate Danny Kent faced the difficulties of changing weather conditions, giving their best during a decisive Qualifying session.

Qualifying was an improvement compared to the morning session of FP3 for Oliveira, who finished FP3 in 19th. He worked hard on the overall package of his Kalex, focusing on corner entry. He gave his maximum as always during the time attack and will start Sunday’s race from 11th place thanks to a 1’39.294

Tomorrow at 09:10 Local Time (GMT +2) the riders will be back on track for 20 minutes of Warm Up before the lights go out at 12:20 Local Time for the eighth race of the 2016 Moto2 World Championship.

#44 Miguel OLIVEIRA – 11th (1’39.294):
“We knew these would be tough days because of the weather. We went out immediately with the slick tyres because we had noticed that towards the end of Qualifying of some MotoGP riders had risked the intermediate rubber. We started the session without rushing, then picked up the pace and I was able to make a good lap which earned me the 11th time: the best positioning on the grid this year. ”
