The spanish rider finishes seventh at the Czech Republic and his team-mate Édgar Pons achieves twenty-third place

After a difficult start in the GP of the Czech Republic, Páginas Amarillas HP40 rider Álex Rins managed to take a step forward in the qualifying session, the second of the sessions held today at the Brno circuit.

Rins introduced some important changes on his Kalex’ set-up that allowed him to ride with more confidence. He reduced his lap time during the qualifying by more than a second and will start tomorrow from the third row of the starting grid looking for another comeback, as he did in Austria, when he finished third.

On the other side of the box, Édgar Pons also managed to improve his times in the qualifying session for more than one second and will start from the eighth row of the grid.

7th Álex Rins #40
“We have had problems and I have suffered during the first three practice sessions of the weekend. We have introduced some important changes for the QP and thanks to the team we’ve got a good set-up that allowed me to go fast. I feel confident for the race tomorrow as we have a fast bike”

23rd Édgar Pons #57
“We’re struggling here. We have improved but not what we expected. We still have room for improvement and I hope tomorrow to reduce the gap with the front riders and make a good race”
