Two weekends as protagonists closed with a double podium at the Andalucia GP for the riders of the Sky Racing Team VR46. Luca Marini crosses the finishing line in second place while Marco Bezzecchi is third and hits his first career podium in Moto2.

Great start, from the fifth box of the grid, for Luca who immediately overtakes the strongest guys and takes the second position behind Bastianini. Constant and precise throughout the race, he well manages the temperatures in the final stages conquering 20 very important points for the Championship.

Weekend of the first times for Marco: from the pole position centered yesterday to the third place today passing through a race conducted with maturity and great pace to definitively forget the crash of the last GP.

Luca Marini:

Before the race I was dreaming for another victory, while now I’m very happy with the second place because for the championship it is a great result. Bastianini did an excellent job: he started strong, I tried to overtake him, but he closed all the doors. The front tire has overheated, the water temperature has also risen, and I had to manage the last laps to the finishing line. I knew it was going to be a tougher race than last week and that’s why I’m really happy for the whole Team for this double podium with Marco.

Marco Bezzecchi:

My feeling on the bike is super good, after a difficult season, I found the feeling I was looking for with the bike and the Team. I’m really happy: sharing the podium with Luca is a beautiful thing for the whole Team. They worked really hard and today we have achieved a great result. The lap of honor? I was very tired, the adrenaline was at 110%, I was close to Luca’s bike for celebrating together and we both ended up in the gravel.
