A historic Sunday for the Sky Racing Team VR46 at the Austrian GP with the first career victory for Celestino Vietti Ramus, first under the checkered flag after an incredible race.

Very fast from Friday, fifth yesterday in qualifying, today he led a perfect race. After a good start, he waited in the middle of the leading group to set his pace with 5 laps to go. First at the start of the last lap he held the position right to the finishing line.

Good race also for Andrea, 22nd at the start and forced to do a long lap penalty during the race. From the end of the standings he recovered till the 13th place.

Celestino Vietti:

The best day of my life. On the final straight I was hoping not to be overtook by anyone, then I cried, I screamed. It was amazing. I didn’t start perfectly, in the early stages I struggled to stay with the very first guys, but then I was able to recover. Towards the end of the race, I realized that compared to my rivals, I was struggling less with the tires. I put myself in front, I pushed hard the last 5 laps. Tony (Arbolino) was really strong, we took a small gap, we exploited it and then the victory. The list of people to thank is long: my family, my dad who made so many sacrifices, the Team and the Academy.

Andrea Migno:

I am quite happy with the race: I had a good start, I recovered a lot and I enjoyed it as much as I could. Overtakings in the group and great battle to the checkered flag. The feelings were good and a pity the penalty that compromised our Sunday.
