A really clever race by Celestino Vietti Ramus and the second victory of the season for the rider of the Sky Racing Team VR46 at Le Mans. Beautiful fifth place, fighting for the podium till the checkered flag, for Andrea Migno.

After a complicated start in the free practices, Celestino gave the turning point to his weekend managing to set up his KTM in the warm up. Starting from the tenth place, he kept the pace of the strongest guys and took the lead of the group two laps from the end. With the points scored today he is third in the championship (119 points) just 16 points behind the current leader (Arenas, 135 points). First place in the ranking dedicated to the Teams conquered today (166 points) thanks to Andrea’s Top5. From the 13th box of the grid he was able to full exploit the great work done with the Team during the last GPs.

Celestino Vietti:

It was a surprise, I didn’t expect it. It was not an easy weekend, on Friday I crashed three times in the free practices and I lost a lot of time into the garage. I stayed focused and today in the warm up I made a big step forward in terms of confidence at the rear. I had a good start, I was in the slipstream of the group and, with two laps to go, I found myself in P1. I tried to close all the doors, I hoped that no one would overtake me. I am very happy for myself and the whole Team.

Andrea Migno:

A really good race! I came from a difficult GPs and today I really enjoyed riding. A real shame for the podium because I was close, but I’m really happy. Celestino was fast, he chose the hard on the grid and was the right choice.
