9th place for Vietti as a crash forces retirement for Migno in Aragon GP

A more complicated GP than we expected for the Sky Racing Team VR46 in Aragon with the ninth place of Celestino Vietti Ramus and the retirement of Andrea Migno.

Starting from the second position of the grid, Celestino has struggled to pick up the pace during the first laps and was forced to a recovery race. Lap by lap, he climbed the standings up to the ninth place and with the points he scored today confirms his third place in the standings (126 points) just 18 points behind the top place (Arenas, 144 points).

Retirement during the ninth lap after a crash for Andrea Migno who started from the 13th box of the grid. After a difficult start, in an attempt to recover, he was victim of an accident at Turn 7.

Celestino Vietti:

I was expecting something more even after qualifying because we were really competitive. I have not a bad start, but I have struggled in the first few laps. I couldn’t keep up with the pace and was forced to give up positions. In the second half of the race I managed to impose my pace and climbed up the standings.

Andrea Migno:

Not the race I was hoping for, the choice of the tire did not reward and I immediately lost contact with the very first guys. I tried to not to give up and I made a mistake at turn 7. A real shame.
