A Sunday to forget for Jaume Masia and Dennis Foggia

Le0pard riders Jaume Masia and Dennis Foggia crashed out today at the Grand Prix of Europe race held at Valencia.

There are days to forget and today’s been one of those. Since the moment we arrived in Valencia the weather jeopardized sessions and box work, but today was the day to revert the situation. Due to yesterday’s rain and tricky track conditions, our riders Foggia and Masia occupied the 14th and the 28th spot of the grid respectively.

After the start both Masia and Foggia tried to recover positions and had to be careful because many riders were crashing as the laps went by. When trying to do the best possible, 14 laps to the end, Masia suffered a crash. The bad feelings didn’t end there as four laps later, the Le0pard Racing saw also Dennis Foggia crashing. Luckily, both riders are ok and haven’t suffered any injury.

After today’s results, Masia is the 5th on the standings (133 points, 24 points far from the leader but still fighting for the Championship) and teammate Dennis Foggia the 12th (69 points). The Leopard Racing is still the 1st on teams’ classification (202 points).

Jaume Masia, N/C

“I didn’t feel good with the tyre and I tried to do my best. I wanted to recover as many positions as possible because I’m still fighting for the Championship. We’ll try again in seven days”.

Dennis Foggia, N/C

“It’s been a race to forget. I didn’t have the best feeling but now it’s time to think on the next one and try to revert today’s result”.
