A thrilling final for Marco Bezzecchi at the Qatar GP with the podium vanishing just a few meters from the finishing line after a wonderful battle till the checkered flag. 12th place for Celestino Vietti Ramus at his debut in the new category.

Fourth on the starting grid, Marco immediately took the lead in the group of guys fighting for the victory. Third at the start of the last lap he finished in fourth place (13 points) just 13 thousandths from the third step of the podium.

More than positive debut for Celestino at the height of a positive weekend. Starting from the P9, he managed a good race and hit the first 4 points in Moto2.

Marco Bezzecchi:

It was a difficult race: from the first laps, I had less confidence with the bike and to try to stay with the top guys I have pushed a lot but I was struggling with the speed. A pity for the podium at the very end because I tried to close all the doors. We will race here again the next week, we will return to the data with the Team, which I thank for the great work of these days, to be able to be there with the strongest riders.

Celestino Vietti:

I’m happy, I really enjoyed the race. I was able to manage a progression for Friday to the race always improving session by session and I’m satisfied to have done the whole race today. We have collected a lot of info and now we know where to work to be able to make another step in race2.
