The Husqvarna Factory LaGlisse didn’t finish the Spanish GP as expected, since they weren’t lucky enough to fulfil their high expectations. Isaac Viñales has finished the race on the eleventh place.

The rider from Llanca wasn’t able to accelerate comfortable, so he couldn’t recover enough places to fight for the top sports. Nonetheless, Isaac has already shown what he’s capable of, and in Le Mans, a track where he finished on the podium during last season, his objective will be to come back to the first places. He will arrive there in the sixth place of the championship.

Misfortune seems to be chasing María Herrera, who unfortunately had to retire from the race after a strong crash in the third lap. The most important part is that the Toledan rider wasn’t heavily injured, she suffers a contusion on her right foot after crashing at a high speed; María is feeling good and looks forward to next race in two weeks, in Le Mans, a track that she already knows and where she will look for good results.

After a difficult day, the Husqvarna Factory LaGlisse thinks about learning a positive lesson from this weekend and using it in the next France GP. The team will stay in Jerez, where they’ll test on Tuesday in order to arrive to Le Mans in the best possible conditions.

#32 Isaac Viñales – 11th
“It was quite a difficult race. I didn’t feel comfortable with the bike and we suffered a lot in acceleration; everyone overtook me in the straight and I had to recover braking. It was a shame, because we arrived here in very good conditiond after an axcellent result in Argentina, however we wasn’t able to find the correct set up for this race. In two weeks we will race in Le Mans, my favorite circuit, and if we find a good set up over there we will surely fight for the first positions”.

#6 María Herrera – DNF
“I made a good start and found a food spot. I knew that the first laps were very important to stay close to the second group and fight with them. But I think I was a bit rushed in the third lap, trying to overtake Ajo, I opened my line more than I should have and I crashed. Luckily, I only have my right foot a bit bruised, which won’t stop us from testing on Tuesday. In two weeks we will arrive to Le Mans, a track I already know and where I will arrive very motivated”.
