Former Pramac Ducati MotoGP and now Pons Moto2 rider Aleix Espargaro recently took part in a football match which helped to raise money for toys which were distributed among poor families for Christmas.
This was the first match of its kind, held by the RCD Espanyol, and it gathered 1500 spectators in the Cornellà-El Prat stadium.

The event was organized by the foundation Pericos Solidaris and the football club. Espargaro wasn’t the only motorsport star attending the game. In his team played also Formula 1 driver Jaime Alguersuari and trial champion Adam Raga, together with several other sport stars. Aleix’ team with captain Alguersuari faced a selection of former players of the First Division of RCD Espanyol.

Aleix Espargaró was thankful for the invitation from his motorsport collegue from Formula 1: “It was a great initiative, because there’s nothing more beautiful in the world than to see a little boy smile with his new toy.”

More info and a video from the match can be found on the website of RCD Espanyol.
