Hector Barbera made his first outing on the Ducati 1000cc bike today at the Ricardo Tormo Circuit in Valencia. The Spaniard was not only testing a new bike, he was also working together with his new team for the first time, getting to know his new crew.
Barbera immediately felt comfortable on the new bike and posted a decent laptime, placing him in 8th position after the first day.

The second and final day of testing at Valencia will get underway tomorrow.

Hector Barbera: “I am very happy with this new adventure with Pramac Racing and the Ducati 1000cc. The bike, compared to last year’s that we used in Sunday’s race, has changed a lot. We can feel a lot that the engine is more powerful and from my point of view it is much more fun to ride on track. The new chassis improves the handling of the bike. The bike reacts much better while entering and going through the corners and this helps me a lot. The first impression is good and the bike gives me more confidence. Tomorrow we are back on track!”
