Official IRTA Test Jerez, Results Day 1: Newcomer Fenati surprises the field

Italian newcomer Romano Fenati has surprised the opposition on the first day of the final IRTA test at Jerez today, showing a strong pace in all sessions and finally ending the day on top of the time sheets with a best time of 1’47.414. He also had a healthy lead over second-fastest rider Maverick Vinales and only Danny Kent in third was still able to lap within a second of Fenati’s time.
