Dani Pedrosa Blog, British Grand Prix: Picking up points at Silverstone

 In Blog, MotoGP, News

Hello,

I am already back home after a complicated weekend at Silverstone. On the one hand we are pleased because within what was possible we finished on the podium again and it is always important to pick up points, on the other hand I would have liked to have fought for the victory, but it was not to be.

The truth is that it took us some time to find a good setup over the weekend and we knew it was going to be a battle to keep up with the leaders. And we had the unpleasant weather that is usual there. In spite of getting a break from the rain, which is what we expected, it was cold and windy the whole weekend.

The start was not as good as we would have liked and we noticed that during the race. Silverstone is a circuit that demands a lot of you. Very flat, with a lot of corners but where you can usually go fast. I would have liked to have fought for the victory but we have to make good use of these points in the next few Grands Prix. We know we have to fight to win races and we are working hard to do so.

Today is a time to rest and to disconnect but from tomorrow onwards we will start to prepare what comes after this free weekend. Three races on the trot where it will be very important to finish in each of them and of course do our best. We know that it is very tiring to race three consecutive weekends and consequently you have to start this period in tip-top physical form.

Next week I will tell you how my week has gone.

Regards to you all

Dani
