Hector Barbera takes tenth at Motegi

The Pramac Racing Team rider Héctor Barberà finished the Grand Prix of Japan achieved a positive 10th place and taking home some valuable championship points.

Starting from the 12th spot on the grid, Héctor was able to establish himself in a group that included Nicky Hayden and the Japanese tester Katsuyuki Nakasuga, fighting for the 9th place.

Unfortunately, after few laps, the Spaniard struggled to maintain his early pace, holding alone until the chequered flag and gaining one place thanks to Cal Crutchlow who, on the last lap, had some issues with his Yamaha and did not finish the race.

The MotoGP paddock will arrive to Malaysia next week at the Sepang circuit for the 16th round of this 2012, where the Pramac Racing Team will try again to wrap up into the top ten.

“I finished the race, taking home important points for the World ranking. Today’s goal was to achieve the top ten and I got it, even if with a bit of luck.
Obviously this is not where I want to be, but I look forward to Sepang and I will try my best until the end, seeing how it goes”.
