Dani Pedrosa Blog: New season, new bike

fotodaniHello everybody! After a couple of months off we are back in action, and we are meeting up again here at the blog. I already met some of you at the Campus Repsol when the team was presented, where we were able to see each other.

The truth is that riders at this time of the year, because of the way they are, always want the races to begin, but being able to meet some of you a few weeks ago demonstrated that you are also dying to see some World Championship races. It doesn`t matter if it is two, three or four months you never lose that desire either… and that for us back then, with the first practice just around the corner, was a great motivation.

On the day of the presentation what we most wanted was to see the bike. After so many seasons with the same colours and the same sponsor we were dying to see the changes. I think it has turned out pretty good!

Some of you have already given me your opinion, and it seems that you like the new look too, but I want to take advantage of the blog and ask you directly: Do you like the new bike?

By the way I also liked the new Repsol building a lot, I had not seen it before and they have done some great work on it. I imagine that those working there will be delighted.

Regarding other things, the first tests at Sepang went very well. The forecast was for rain but even so we were able to complete the test program and try out all that we wanted to, above the engine setups, the weight distribution… The latter, with the new regulations, is very important and we have to work on it and define it as much as we possibly can.

I was dying to get back on the bike, honestly. I had been training hard obviously, but whatever you do, motocross, cycling, work in the gymnasium… in the end what you want is to ride the MotoGP bike. I can`t wait to get back on it again and carry on with our work.

A big hug to you all and don`t forget to tell me what you think of the new bike. I really like it!
Dani
