Cardus feeling good with new bike despite adverse weather conditions at Jerez

 In Moto2, News

cardus jerezThe second preseason season test for the Moto2 riders is already done. After testing at the Ricardo Tormo Circuit in Valencia last week, the NGM Mobile Forward Racing team moved to Jerez de la Frontera during the last three days to continue with the preparation for the upcoming season.

The riders spent the last three days improving their feel for the new bikes and to work on their setup. However, their progress was marred due to adverse weather conditions. The first and third day were a washout until the last session, with the second day providing the riders with drier but foggy condtions.

The NGM Mobile riders decided to tackle their long-runs, focusing on technical issues without focusing on on single-lap pace. Lap times will start to be more significant at the next IRTA test, when all Moto2 riders will get the same type of engine supplied by their respective teams.

Ricky Cardús “We had a few tough days due to the varying weather conditions. Generally I have been feeling good. I was riding this bike for the first time in the wet and everything went well, we also managed to get a good laptime. Now we have to keep working to improve.”
