02 Valencia Test M2 y M3 12, 13 y 14 de febrero de 2013The Argiñano-Ginés Racing Team was unable to test the new Speed Up bike at Jerez today, after it had been postponed due to the bad weather yesterday, today the decision was taken not to ride.

Alberto Moncayo started the day early, trying to sort out heavy chattering on his bike. But the Spaniard was very unlucky and crashed when he entered a corner and shifted down gears, the gear changer didn’t respond and went into neutral. Unable to save the crash, Moncayo tried his best to keep the Speed Up bike from any damage which would render it unusable, but he paid for it with injuring his left hand.

Alberto Moncayo (1.47.286 +4.9s, 27 laps): “We had a problem with the engine which every time I shifted down gears went into neutral. In one of these instances, before the Nieto corner, it threw me off the bike. Nothing’s broken in the left hand, but it was a heavy impact which hinders me to close the hand with strength. That’s why we decided not to go out in the afternoon. I am disappointed, because I was making progress and for the team which had to do extra work because of the crash. Let’s see how I feel tomorrow to get back out again.”
