Moncayo starts rehabilitation after spraining left wrist in Jerez crash
After his crash during the second day of Moto2 testing in Jerez and not being able to ride on Thursday because of the injury, Argiñano-Ginés Cadiz Racing rider Alberto Moncayo underwent several scans which ruled out that he has broken his left wrist. Doctors have diagnosed, however, that he suffered a heavily sprained wrist, so this afternoon he has put himself in the hands of his trusted physiotherapist.
At the moment the recovery process will not be very intense, because there is still strong swelling around the injury. The Spanish youngster will have to wear special protective gear and receive rehabilitation in daily sessions to facilitate the healing of the sprain. According to the Moncayo, he will be fit again for the final official preseason test at Jerez next month.
