It was a difficult race for Toni Elias at the Spanish Grand Prix in Jerez, where he couldn’t claim the result he had hoped for, although in the end he did take a Top 10 finish.

He didn’t have the best of starts and lost a few positions and once he started to make up some ground, the group ahead already had opened up a sizeable gap. Despite having problems with the front tyre, Toni was able to secure his position in the top ten, crossing the line in ninth place after an intense battle with Marcel Schrötter.

Toni Elías (9º): “We made another step and improved the position, but it’s not enough. During the weekend we had positive sessions and we were pretty far ahead. However, today I didn’t have any feeling for the front tyre and it’s been very difficult to maintain it. I fought to keep pthe pace and this unfortunately opened a gap to the group ahead and I couldn’t close up. Although we have to be positive and note that we made progress, I’m not completely happy. We have to improve to be with the top.”
