On-form Rins and Marquez looking forward to Catalunya GP
The World Championship completes the opening third of the season this weekend at the Grand Prix of Catalunya, round six of the 2013 campaign. Dani Pedrosa, Marc Marquez, Alex Rins and Alex Marquez, four riders who have ridden at Montmelo since their formative years, go to Catalunya in top form.
In Moto3, Alex Rins and Alex Marquez will once again be the centre of attention, after their great performance at Mugello –in which they fought for victory right up to the final lap.
“After the second place in Italy we are very motivated, because last year we found it rather hard at Montmelo. We are having a good start to the season, working hard, and we are very keen to have a competitive weekend. This year we have improved a lot, right from the start of the races, and I think that this is what is allowing us to get these results. We will try to adapt as quickly as possible and see if the weather helps us out.”
“This week we are racing at my home track, so I am very keen. Last year I raced there as a wildcard, and it is where I got my best result of the season. This year we have taken another step forward and are more experienced, but we need to keep the same mentality as always and take it as just another race. It is important to work the same at every circuit, because that is how the results rack up. I know the track well and both my and the team’s experience will serve me well, but it is one of the trickier tracks and we will have to be focused from the start.”
