Maverick Viñales fully motivated for home race in Catalunya
This weekend the MotoGP world championship returns to Spain for the GP of Catalunya and Team Calvo arrives with Maverick Viñales as the Moto3 championship leader.
The Catalan rider is very motivated and looking forward to his home race, in which he will compete with the support of all his family and friends and with the support of all the sponsors, Calvo and JHK T-Shirt at the forefront. After the Italian GP, Maverick and the team had a day testing during which further improvement of the set up of the KTM could be made. With this they hope to be able to fight for the victory in Montmeló.
Also for Maverick’s team mate Ana Carrasco it’ll be a special weekend. The young rider of Team Calvo knows the Catalan circuit very well and also achieved positive results in the test in Mugello. Therefore she hopes to achieve a good result in front of the Spanish fans.

To race at home is always special, but in Montmeló even more so because here I’ll be surrounded by all my family and friends. We go into the weekend as Moto3 leader and with high ambitions to do well. In Mugelo the podium felt like a victory to me because we had some problems during the race. But during the test we did afterwards, we found the problem and this has really motivated me for this race. Montmeló is very fast, it’s a circuit I really like and I’ll give my maximum to fight for the win.

I’m very much looking forward to the race in Montmeló, because the race in Mugello was not good but during the test we could improve the bike and I believe this will help us a lot this weekend. Racing at home always feels special, it’s the second time this season and in Jerez I didn’t finish that well, so I hope this time will be better. I’ve always liked this circuit and I hope I’ll be able to fight for a position in the points and get a good result for the team.

After the great start to the season, it’s very important that we go into this race as championship leader. We have to continue work in the same way because Maverick is having a fantastic season and at home in front of all his fans and the sponsors he’ll surely give his all. With regards to Ana, I believe that after the positive tests in Mugello, racing at a circuit that she knows well will do much for her confidence and she’ll be able to fight for better positions.
