Simone Corsi finishes in the Top5 with his SpeedUp bike and will start the race from the second row of the starting grid, aiming to repeat his best result of the season at Sachsenring.

Teammate Mattia Pasini finishes in 16th place, missing the Top15 right at the very end of the qualifying session. Not far behind is Alex De Angelis in 18th place, finally managing to overcome a series of problems. Further back on the grid is Ricky Cardús, who for most of the qualifying session was in the Top15.

Ricky Cardus: “I was hoping to do better even if we have been able to improve my lap times by one second from the morning practice. We were still able to be among the first fifteen fastest riders for over three quarters of qualifying, but I lose time in a specific turn, I will focus on working on that tomorrow morning. Tomorrow I want to do my best and my set goal is to have a pace of 1´44.”
