Malaysian GP not as successful as Barberá had hoped for, finishes 14th

The race in Sepang didn’t go as well as Héctor Barberá had hoped for.

The reason for this was a ride through penalty imposed on him for jumping the start. The penalty saw him drop to the end of the field on lap four.

After completing the ride through, Héctor’s pace was equal to the top CRT riders and he managed to make up some positions until he found himself in 14th place which brought him 2 points to add to his tally.

#8 Héctor Barberá – 14th place
The error I committed at the start is a real shame, a pain because during warm up we discovered a setup with which I felt comfortable and which allowed us to go fast. With the penalty I got bumped down to the last place, but I was able to claw back a couple of positions and I saw that I had the pace to have made good race. In the end I was going quicker than the leading CRTs, and to be honest, I was furious that I wasn’t up there competing with them. But the important thing is that the bike went extremely well and that in five days time we’ll be back out on track.
