457_C156920Great qualifying day for NGM Mobile Forward Racing riders today at Phillip Island circuit. Alex De Angelis finishes today’s session recording the same lap time than Aspar Team rider Jordi Torres 1´32.769 on his SpeedUp bike. He will start the race from the 4th place on the starting grid and will aim to be in the fight for the top positions.

Good qualifying session for teammate Mattia Pasini, given the problems encountered during the morning session with the tires he was able to finish in the Top10 and will start from the 9th place on the grid. Simone Corsi also finishes in the Top15 and will start from the 14th position and believes he can do a good race. Further down the grid is Ricky Cardús in 21st position, convinced that he can perform well after the positive results obtained in Malaysia and believes he can get in the points. The Moto2 race has been shortened by race direction and will now be 13 laps due to the problems with the tires.

Ricky Cardus: “It was not a bad qualifying day for me, I will start from the 21st place. I was able to improve my lap times from this morning during qualifying and I will hope to find the right setting during the warm up session in order to be ready for the race. My goal is to be in the points.”
