The two-time European champion hangs up his helmet and faces the new challenges with motivation in the future

Two European Championship titles, 14 victories and 25 podiums in 41 Moto2 FIM CEV races, and 62 grand prix at the Moto2 World Championship. At 25 years old, this is the sports record of Edgar Pons, who has just announced that he has decided to put aside his professional activity as a rider at the end of the 2020 season.

Feeling fulfilled with the successes achieved, Edgar Pons has made the decision to seek new challenges and motivation in other areas related to his passion, motorcycling, trying to give back everything it has taught him on the bike throughout his 8 seasons and be able to contribute his experience and knowledge acquired in other fields. The first challenge that Pons will face will be the sports management of the PONS Racing team and, in the long term, Edgar Pons’ desire is to continue with the management of the team, thus ensuring the presence of the laureate and renowned team created by Sito Pons in the World Championship.

Edgar has lauded the work of all the teams with which he has competed, both in the World Championship and in the FIM CEV (PONS Racing, AGR Team, Baiko Racing Team, Gresini Racing, Italtrans and Speed Up) and all its sponsors who they have supported him unconditionally for all these years.
