The winner of the Italian Grand Prix was Italian Dennis Foggia, who was accompanied on the podium by Jaume Masiá and Gabriel Rodrigo.

The Valresa GASGAS Aspar Team riders completed the race at Mugello with Sergio García Dols in ninth position, after crossing the finish line eighth but getting a penalty for exceeding the track limits on the last lap; and with the seventeenth of Izan Guevara, who from the first lap has been off the leading group due to some rivals’ crash, but has fought in the front positions of the chasing group.

9th Sergio García Dols (+0.861):

“First of all, I want to remember the family and loved ones of Jason Dupasquier and send them my condolences. When things like this happen, the rest does not matter.”

“Today in the race I was strong and I fought with the leading group. I just missed out on a good position onto the home straight, which is so key here. I should have placed myself better but these are things I need to learn and I’m sure for Barcelona I’ll be able to remember what happened here.”

17th Izan Guevara (+23,499):

“It has been a very tough weekend and I want to give my support to Jason Dupasquier’s family and team in these difficult times for everyone.”

“I started quite far back on the grid and was hoping to get higher in the group but in corners 6-7 there was a crash and it caused a breakaway. We couldn’t do much more really. I felt great on the bike but there is not much more to say. We’ll look to Barcelona now where we’ll hope to be further forward and score better points.”
